Wilhelm Walch is a well-established family winery in the heart of South Tyrol (Alto Adige), founded in 1869 and known for its focus on mountain terroirs and elegant, pure style. It operates sustainably and with minimal intervention, relying on local and international varieties that reflect the alpine character of the region.

Variety: Pinot Noir

Terroir: The vineyards are located in the highlands of the Trento valley, on alluvial-limestone soils rich in minerals. The altitude reaches 500 m, and the large temperature amplitudes between day and night help to accumulate aromatic complexity and freshness in the grapes.

Vinification: Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, with a light maceration extraction to preserve the elegant structure. Aging is short - a few months in stainless steel tanks and partly in large French barrels to preserve freshness and the typical fruit character.

Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Fine and delicate nose palette with red fruits – cherry, wild strawberry and hints of violets and dry foliage.
Taste: Fresh and light, with elegant tannins, balanced acidity and a clean, mineral finish.

Food pairings: Suitable for serving with duck, veal carpaccio, roasted chicken or pasta with wild mushrooms.

Serving temperature: 14–16°C
Aging potential: Up to 4–5 years

Returns & Replacements

In the event that an item within the hamper may be sold out, the Company retains the right to replace it with an item of equal or greater value.

The Company cannot accept returns or exchanges for consumable items, including but not limited to hampers, fine foods, confectionery and wines.

Delivery Costs & Times

Christmas Delivery:

Please note we do not allow dated delivery requests in December due to the large volume of orders we process and deliver over this period. All gifts are processed in the order they are received, and delivery is effected as efficiently as possible by our team.

We do our very best to ensure all gifts are delivered safely and in a timely manner. We encourage our customers to place their order at their earliest convenience to ensure we can deliver effectively.

Standard Delivery:

To Malta:
Free Standard Delivery applies to all our Hampers. For all other products, Free Standard Delivery applies to orders over €35.00 - If your order is below €35.00 a flat delivery fee of €5.00 will be applied to your shopping cart during checkout. Deliveries to Malta are processed and delivered at our next availability, which is usually within 1-3 working days, excluding public holidays. In December this would be 1-5 working days.

To Gozo:
For orders over €35.00 a flat delivery charge of €5 applies - If your order is below €35.00 the delivery charge is €9.00. Gozo Deliveries are processed and delivered at our next availability, which is usually within 2-5 working days, excluding public holidays. In December this would be 3-7 working days.

Deliver on Specified Date (Only available January to November):

If you require delivery on an exact date, this option is available at checkout, at an additional cost of €5.00

Deliver on Specified Date only allows selection between January and November, for orders delivered on mainland Malta. It does not apply to Christmas orders, orders to Gozo or international orders.

Collection:

During checkout you also have the option to collect your purchase. The collection point will be listed at checkout depending which location your order will be processed from.

Collection is free and the processing time for your order being ready for pickup is usually after 1 full working day from when you placed the order (excluding Sundays and public holidays). We recommend calling us before you come to collect to ensure your order is ready and waiting for you.
