These vineyards date back to the 1700s, Pierre Millet created the Domaine in the 1930’s. Nicolas Millet is the 9th generation winemaker on the property.
Les Grands Champs Blanc is produced from grapes grown in the Bué et Vinon village, on the Les Grands vineyard, which is located in the Sancerre AOC.
The plots are spread over the hillsides surrounding the village. It has an elevation of 280 meters.
The soils are 100% limestone from Buzançais and the vineyard has a Southeast exposure.
The vine age is 30 years.
Nicolas Millet practices organic/biodynamic farming.

Varietal Composition: 100% Sauvignon Blanc

Elaboration: Fertilized with composted manure, the vines are Guyot Poussard pruned and disbudded. The grapes slowly go through pneumatic press. No sulfur is added. It is aged on lees for 8-10 months in stainless steel vats. Light filtration and gravity bottled.

Tasting Notes: Evokes a lemon pastry, a little buttered. Full and generous mouth, with a very diffused acidity and a soft and delicate mouth.

PRODUCER BACKGROUND

The vineyards of Nicolas Millet in the Sancerre Appellation of Loire have been providing outstanding grapes since the 1700s. The brothers Bernard and Pierre Millet acquired the land and began a family adventure in winemaking that has thrived and continues to the present day.

After studying wine in the legendary wine-producing region of Beaune, Nicolas Millet (son of François), took over the estate in 2010. Nicolas has continued the practice of respecting the traditions of wine-making while using innovative ideas. This includes organic, biodynamic, and regenerative agriculture farming techniques. The estate received its organic qualification in 2021.

Returns & Replacements

In the event that an item within the hamper may be sold out, the Company retains the right to replace it with an item of equal or greater value.

The Company cannot accept returns or exchanges for consumable items, including but not limited to hampers, fine foods, confectionery and wines.

Delivery Costs & Times

Christmas Delivery:

Please note we do not allow dated delivery requests in December due to the large volume of orders we process and deliver over this period. All gifts are processed in the order they are received, and delivery is effected as efficiently as possible by our team.

We do our very best to ensure all gifts are delivered safely and in a timely manner. We encourage our customers to place their order at their earliest convenience to ensure we can deliver effectively.

Standard Delivery:

To Malta:
Free Standard Delivery applies to all our Hampers. For all other products, Free Standard Delivery applies to orders over €35.00 - If your order is below €35.00 a flat delivery fee of €5.00 will be applied to your shopping cart during checkout. Deliveries to Malta are processed and delivered at our next availability, which is usually within 1-3 working days, excluding public holidays. In December this would be 1-5 working days.

To Gozo:
For orders over €35.00 a flat delivery charge of €5 applies - If your order is below €35.00 the delivery charge is €9.00. Gozo Deliveries are processed and delivered at our next availability, which is usually within 2-5 working days, excluding public holidays. In December this would be 3-7 working days.

Deliver on Specified Date (Only available January to November):

If you require delivery on an exact date, this option is available at checkout, at an additional cost of €5.00

Deliver on Specified Date only allows selection between January and November, for orders delivered on mainland Malta. It does not apply to Christmas orders, orders to Gozo or international orders.

Collection:

During checkout you also have the option to collect your purchase. The collection point will be listed at checkout depending which location your order will be processed from.

Collection is free and the processing time for your order being ready for pickup is usually after 1 full working day from when you placed the order (excluding Sundays and public holidays). We recommend calling us before you come to collect to ensure your order is ready and waiting for you.
