The latest addition to the Viberti family, its name is dedicated to Maria (twin by birth), wife of Giovanni Viberti, a woman of humble origins who made a fundamental contribution to the growth of the company and her family. Cook for over 50 years at the family inn, alias Buon Padre, a tenacious and strict mother, and a great lover of Barbera, in 2004 she observed how many of the most beautiful Barbera vineyards had been replaced with the Nebbiolo variety, a more profitable grape than that same Barbera considered for years the "poor man's wine", due to a marked acidity and difficult drinkability. The project was born from the intuition of Claudio, the youngest son and new generation in the management of the family company. A new vineyard was planted with a higher planting density. The objective, then achieved over time, was a wine with great concentration, a particular sweetness and a nose of clear and intense red fruit . The acidity, aided by the concentration, makes the wine extremely elegant and fascinating. Barbera d'Alba La Gemella also expresses its best potential in the warmest years. It is fermented with submerged cap for 7-10 days

Returns & Replacements

In the event that an item within the hamper may be sold out, the Company retains the right to replace it with an item of equal or greater value.

The Company cannot accept returns or exchanges for consumable items, including but not limited to hampers, fine foods, confectionery and wines.

Delivery Costs & Times

Christmas Delivery:

Please note we do not allow dated delivery requests in December due to the large volume of orders we process and deliver over this period. All gifts are processed in the order they are received, and delivery is effected as efficiently as possible by our team.

We do our very best to ensure all gifts are delivered safely and in a timely manner. We encourage our customers to place their order at their earliest convenience to ensure we can deliver effectively.

Standard Delivery:

To Malta:
Free Standard Delivery applies to all our Hampers. For all other products, Free Standard Delivery applies to orders over €35.00 - If your order is below €35.00 a flat delivery fee of €5.00 will be applied to your shopping cart during checkout. Deliveries to Malta are processed and delivered at our next availability, which is usually within 1-3 working days, excluding public holidays. In December this would be 1-5 working days.

To Gozo:
For orders over €35.00 a flat delivery charge of €5 applies - If your order is below €35.00 the delivery charge is €9.00. Gozo Deliveries are processed and delivered at our next availability, which is usually within 2-5 working days, excluding public holidays. In December this would be 3-7 working days.

Deliver on Specified Date (Only available January to November):

If you require delivery on an exact date, this option is available at checkout, at an additional cost of €5.00

Deliver on Specified Date only allows selection between January and November, for orders delivered on mainland Malta. It does not apply to Christmas orders, orders to Gozo or international orders.

Collection:

During checkout you also have the option to collect your purchase. The collection point will be listed at checkout depending which location your order will be processed from.

Collection is free and the processing time for your order being ready for pickup is usually after 1 full working day from when you placed the order (excluding Sundays and public holidays). We recommend calling us before you come to collect to ensure your order is ready and waiting for you.
